This week we have been focusing on letter Kk with Katy Kangaroo. We have been decorating kites and working on color words in the art center. This week we also learned number eight. The boys and girls learned how to write the number eight two ways. On Thursday, we practiced our scissor skills and cut eight legs to make a spider windsock. Friday we will discuss our homework ( I can't wait to hear all the different key stories!), learn about Leila's show and tell, and complete our "Looking for letter K" book.
Next Week:
We are closed on Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day so we will not start letter L until the following week. We will be reviewing letters and discussing friendship as we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday.

Welcome Back!
On our first day back our Tues./Thurs class read "Teddy's Snowy Day". We then drew pictures with chalk of our favorite part of the story. The children loved when Teddy snowboarded and when Teddy made a snow bear instead of a snowman!
