Last Week:

We had so much fun learning about letter Pp with Penelope Pig!  On Monday, we made pig puppets and acted out The Three Little Pigs.  The children were also able to retell the story with the felt board in the literacy center.  On Wednesday, we made picnic baskets filled with all different foods that start with letter Pp.  We also enjoyed having a pretend picnic in our classroom and found all the foods in the basket that start with the Pp sound.  On Friday, we all came in wearing our favorite pajamas and celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday by reading " The Cat in the Hat" and " Green Eggs and Ham".

I would like to thank all of the parents who came to school Wednesday night for parent/teacher conferences.  It was really great to talk with each of you and learn more about your children.

During the month of March you or someone in your family can participate in our classroom by coming in and reading your child's favorite book to our class.  Please check outside of our classroom for a sign up sheet.  We will have two time slots available 9AM and 2:15PM.

This Week:
We will be learning about letter Qq with Quilla the Queen.  We will also be learning about quails and questions. To help us describe our weather we will be using the descriptions of a "Lion" kind of day or a "Lamb" kind of day.  Each day during March the children will have to determine if the weather is fierce or calm.
